SC Legislation could make it easier to tap into solar power

Removing current legal barriers to third party energy sales is one way South Carolina can promote increased investment in clean energy technologies. Legislation now being considered (H.3425, S.536) by the General Assembly would make solar leasing, a popular financing method for solar investment around the country, available to residents, businesses, churches, and other institutions that are currently prohibited from entering into these contracts.
